The famous 100 mile long South Downs Way runs from Winchester to Eastbourne. Upper Barn is approximately half way along, with access directly onto the path, so perfect for passing hikers and bikers!

A 15 minute walk from Upper Barn, the museum has plenty to entertain the whole family. Featuring restored buildings, live demontrations, vintage vehicles and its own narrow gauge railway. A short drive from Amberley is the historic town of Arundel with plenty of antique shops, art galleries pubs and restaurants. A restored medieval castle stands over the town. The hereditary stately home of the Dukes of
Norfolk and their ancestors for over 850 years. Arundel Castle occupies a
defensive site on a prominent hill overlooking the

Arundel Wetland Centre is home to a collection of over 50 species of
wildfowl from around the world in natural settings, on display 364 days a
year so there is always something to see. This gorgeous nature reserve

reserve forms part of the Arun Valley Special Protection Area below the South Downs, extending across a broad sweep of undisturbed wet
grassland, intersected with wildlife-rich ditches and surrounded by
woodlands. It's a key location for wintering wildfowl including Bewick's

Wittering beach is approximately a 40 mins drive from Amberley. 1.5 miles of sandy beach with parking, resturants and lifeguard supervision. A favourite with families, horse riders, wind &

The world's premier motorsport events take place at Goodwood. The Festival of Speed usually takes place at the end of July in the grounds of Goodwood House. The Goodwood Revival in early Sptember at the historic Motor Circuit. For further information click here.
